Click the “Options and Supplies” button for the HP Laserjet 1018. Click the driver tab then choose Select Printer Software from the Print Using menu. Type 1022 in the search box. Select “HP Laserjet 1022, 1.0.3.0.261” from the menu. You should now be able to print form the HP Laserjet 1018 from your mac. For driver support information for newer HP LaserJet Pro, HP LaserJet Enterprise, HP LaserJet Managed, or HP PageWide printers, go to Printers compatible with macOS Catalina 10.15, Mojave 10.14. Scanning with older HP printers.

This is not a software upgrade. If a prior version of the HP LaserJet 1018 software is currently installed, it must be uninstalled before installing this version.

I have an iMac (21.5 inches, mid 2014) with MacOS Mojave.
Hp 1018 Laserjet Printer Drivers
It's working now.
- Download and install the following package:
- Ensure the printer is powered on and the USB is directly connected to your Mac.
- Click the Apple icon, select System Preferences and then go to Printers & Scanners.
- click the plus sign and select the listed 1018 printer.
- Click the Use drop-down menu and then click on Select Printer Software.
- Type 1022 in the search box and select the HP Laserjet 1022 driver.
- Click OK and confirm any dialog, then try printing using the created print queue.
